Tinjauan Manajemen dilaksanakan sebagai salah satu rangkaian kegiatan Plan-Do-Check-Action (PDCA), yang merupakan bahan untuk evaluasi dan dasar pertimbangan untuk pengembangan strategi demi kemajuan pelaksanaan pendidikan.
Tinjauan Manajemen di Jurusan Teknik Sipil Fakultas Teknik Universitas Brawijaya disusun oleh Management Representative (MR) dalam hal ini adalah Sekretaris Jurusan, bersama – sama dengan para Pimpinan Jurusan Teknik Sipil dalam Rapat Pimpinan.
Tinjauan Manajemen dilakukan setidaknya sekali dalam 1 tahun sehingga Jurusan telah memiliki waktu untuk mengembangkan strategi dan sarana, sedang disisi lain merupakan jangka waktu yang tepat untuk dilaksanakan evaluasi.
Tinjauan manajemen periode-periode sebelumnya dapat diperoleh di Fakultas Teknik Universitas Brawijaya. Hal ini dikarenakan program doktor teknik sipil baru bergabung dengan Jurusan Teknik Sipil pada periode mid 2013.
